Apple And The Absolute Hypocracy Of The Apple App Store

Posted by valeri on Sunday Mar 7, 2010

Apple’s hypocrisy with regard to the App Store is something I know well. Several times last year I wrote about Apple allowing apps like “Asian Boobs” and upskirt apps into the App Store while rejecting things such as satirical apps that mocked public figures. It was ridiculous. So you might think I’d be happy that Apple is now rejecting and removing sexy apps from the App Store as well. But actually, the hypocrisy is much worse now.

Applie iPhone Tech News

Problem number one is that while Apple is removing most of these sexy apps from the App Store, it’s not removing all of them. So who gets to stay? Big publishers like Sports Illustrated and Playboy. In fact, not only is Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit 2010 app not being removed, it’s being featured in the App Store. Both it and the Playboy app clearly violate the new rules of the more prudish App Store, yet they get to stay. Why?

As Apple VP of Worldwide Product Marketing Phil Schiller explained earlier to the New York Times, it’s because they’re well-known companies known for that content. Yet, he also cited women being upset about feeling degraded and parents being upset about kids having access to sexy apps as the main reason Apple is cracking down on them. The omission of the fact that parents probably also don’t want their kids downloading the Playboy app, or that some women might also find the Swimsuit app degrading is laughable.

Now, are some apps worse than others with regard to sexy content? Of course. But Apple has removed over 5,000 apps and counting under these new rules — surely some of those would likely be considered less offensive then the Playboy app. Further, this is creating the ultimate gray line when it comes to what is and what is not permissible in the App Store. For example, what if there’s a smaller publication also known for nude pictures that wants to make a lingerie app? Will Apple reject or accept that? Is there a certain circulation threshold one has to have to be considered “well-known” in Schiller’s words?

Problem number two is that Apple is breaking a golden rule: don’t take away what you’ve already given (in this case, to both developers and users). Apple has not always allowed these sexy apps in the App Store. But at some point over the past several months they changed their minds and apps like “Asian Boobs” started getting accepted. Why did they do it? At the time, the thought was that with the new parental controls in the iPhone OS 3.0, they could leave it up to parents to decide what their children can or cannot download/use.

iPhone News

Apple was probably happy to let another huge rush of apps into the store, while yes, generating revenue off of them. Meanwhile, this spawned a wave of developers who were making these types of apps. Several of those developers have reached out to us over the past few days basically saying that Apple has just destroyed their businesses. Again, businesses that these people would not have created without Apple approving these apps in the first place. Apple giveth, Apple taketh away.

Problem number three is related to number two. I fail to see the reason that Apple built parental controls into the iPhone OS if they weren’t to be used for situations like this. Why even bother? For games with violence? Please. I’m all for kids not having access to mature content if their parents are against it, but that’s exactly what these controls are made for.

So why is Apple making this big change that is pissing a lot of people off if they have this safeguard in place? Clearly, they must not trust it. But if that’s the case, why not remove the explicit content from iTunes? After all, the parental controls for apps are in the exact same place as the ones from music, movies, and TV shows.

Problem number four is perhaps my favorite one. Apple is going through all this trouble of removing these apps, and creating more work in scanning for the next sexy apps to reject, when built into every iPhone and iPod touch is not one, but two huge entry points for explicit material — and both are apps made by Apple themselves. The first, I alluded to above: iTunes. There are no shortage of films and TV shows with nudity and sexual content (along with violence and everything else) that are available on iTunes for purchase on the device. The same is true for explicit music.

But the second app is far worse: Safari. Each iPhone and iPod touch has a web browser that is more than capable of accessing any site on the web with a few clicks. This includes sites with hardcore pornography, or anything else a teenage kid can dream up. Apple is going through all this trouble to block sexy apps (which have never contained nudity, by the way, just sexy pictures), when they offer one of their own that makes it much easier to find far more sinister content.

Of course, if they removed Safari, it could well destroy the iPhone. So they’re not going to do that.

The sad truth is that while everyone can clearly see Apple’s hypocrisy here, it’s unlikely to matter. Just as with all the hoopla over the Google Voice app rejection, this too will blow over. As long as people keep voting for Apple with their pocketbooks, Apple will continue to do as it pleases, hypocrisy or not.

The lesson, I suppose, is that killer products give you carte blanche.

The Bible Scholar: Great Comprehensive IPhone App

Posted by valeri on Thursday Feb 18, 2010

The Bible Scholar iPhone app

Features:
1. Books: More than 20 volumes of Bible Dictionaries, Church History, and Bible Commentaries.
2. Bookmark: You never lose your place because you can return to the place you left off through this amazing feature.
3. Notes: You can make and save your notes for future reference.

The Bible Scholar iPhone app has more than 14,000 pages of Bible Commentaries, Bible Dictionaries, and Church History.

It is a wonderful tool and source for every serious student of the Bible.

The Bible Scholar iPhone app has the following books: Matthew Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary, Easton’s Bible Dictionary, History of the Christian Church (Volumes 1 to 8), The Institutes of the Christian Religion by John Calvin, Lewis Berkhof’s Introduction to the New Testament, People’s New Testament Commentary, Smith’s Bible Dictionary, The Treasury of David (Volumes 1 to Six) by Charles Haddon Spurgeon, Nave’s Topical Bible, and the Updated King James Bible.

How to Use the App:

Let us look at how to use The Bible Scholar app. To do this we will look at Matthew Henry’s Whole Bible Commentary as an example.

You simply tap on Matthew Henry on the iPhone screen and it opens up to a list of all the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

If you tap on Genesis for instance, the book will load to Matthew Henry’s commentary on the entire book of Genesis. You get a verse-by-verse commentary by the author and get to know where the name Genesis originated. The same applies for every other book within this great book.

Another great aspect of this Bible iPhone app is that the fonts are so readable; you do not need reading glasses.

One feature you will find useful is the Bookmark feature. You can bookmark sections in the books you are reading, so you never have to lose your place ever! Therefore, if you are interrupted, you can come back and return to where you left off.

My favorite feature is the Notes feature. Here you can write pages of notes and thoughts on what you are studying. You can even title your notes for easy reference. You could do this on the entire books within the app, including the Updated King James Bible. You can read a passage of scripture, write study notes, and save them for future reference. This is simply amazing!

There is no way you could put a library with these many pages into your pocket. Right? Well now, you can with The Bible Scholar iPhone app. This is a scholar’s gold mine.

The app is easy to load. This is very exciting to know because you do not have to wait for a long time to gain access. You simply tap on The Bible Scholar icon and there you are, ready to begin enjoying the wealth of information within each page.

This is arguable the most comprehensive Bible related app on the iPhone app store. Every Christian or student of history will find this app to be worth the investment.

Coming soon in February 2010 to the iPhone app store. For more information, visit: http://www.TheBibleScholar.com

HP IPaD Info Hot!

Posted by valeri on Sunday Feb 14, 2010

Apple finally unveiled their eReaders version. Apple iPad is not so simple, as most electronic readers on the market. Is really more of a mini-tablet computer for anything else. There was much speculation on the release of Apple, with much exaggeration. For months we have been able to say that there is also iPad, until January 28, 2010, when he revealed.

An iPad not for sale. This does not seem to be sold until April. Not be used by the general public that the device does not store the ability of the sample. The question is iPad eReaders end of the road may seem too early, but we must consider what we already know.

What we know is that the IPAD resembles a very large version of the iPod Touch. Has a retro aluminum design with a half-inch thick and 10 inches. The screen is surrounded by a black border. This standard has housings / iPhone iPod connector with a button down. Apple iPad introduced two levels of memory. There were 16 performances, 64 concerts and memory. 64 GB of memory to offer Wi-Fi and 3G cellular. AT & T provides 3G connectivity for $ 15 per month for 250MB or $ 30 for unlimited data transfer. There is no contract with AT & T for that. You just need to cancel service at any time.

Apple iPad is $ 499 for the version shows 16 and $ 830 for 64 gigs version. Ipad with consumers will be able to surf the Internet, read emails, send emails and read eBooks. You can also use Skype via iPad for mobile phone calls, even though it may seem a bit “strange.

As an electronic reader, which is more important, of course give iPad. This was a good size screen as the Kindle. It also offers color and requires no external lighting. Unfortunately, the price of electronic books are $ 10 for a best-seller is not possible, but you still have some books at low prices to download. Battery life is 10 hours, unless you just read a book with the eReader software is available on the IPAD.

One thing to consider about Apple iPad eReader and as a good investment is a memory. Most eReaders currently working with 16-64 GB of memory. The same thing with IPAD offers more choice, so they actually support the memory of books? If you can not download e-books in 3500 only 64 performances with Kindle does not seem to multi-use iPad offers enough memory to perform all the tasks he wanted to meet, besides the high cost. So this is not the end of eReaders.

HP iPad OS is used same like other product Apple that’s called iPhone.HP Tablet display screen is about 0,3 inch larger from HP iPad screen, although the other specifications and resolutions remain unknown. And one of problems from HP iPad is from screen ratio, which 4:3 and video ration 16:9, so this can be a problem.

More people are now recycling old mobile phones than before and it’s thought possibly because of the incentives offered for them and a genuine willingness to recycle for the Environment is causing it. That and how many would have upgraded the mobile during the holiday periods as does happen every day.

Mobile Phone Recycling Post Office Payments

It’s pretty simple because it’s just the same as any other method really, you are still collecting your money at the end of the day. But this is an option offered now by a number of mobile phone recycling sites that people are opting for instead of the normal payment methods such as Check or BACS bank transfer payment. While these are secure they can come with a bit of a delay in processing unlike Post Office payments where an SMS is sent with a code to take into your local Post Office to exchange for cash.

It does make sense when you consider that people these days do want things much faster. And when it comes to actually recycling your mobile phone you don’t want to play the waiting game. It’s economical to go this way because as soon as the company you chose receive your mobile and check it, they can send you the SMS code immediately there and then. Sometimes this happens the same day they receive your phone so you can get paid literally the next day you sent it in like this. That beats waiting for a Check to arrive and then clear again after you’ve paid it in.

Offering people payments in this way is an incentive offered by certain services for you to use them instead of another service. It is worth checking out each that you can use if you can to see what other methods are available as well. Some offer Paypal payments for mobile phones as well as Post Office mobile phone recycling. And offers offer payment via Gift Vouchers for places you are likely to shop at with an additional amount on top of whatever the cash value is. This is a good option for many people who are able to turn them into good use.

When recycling your mobile phone. There are more steps to it than meets the eye or that you may care to know about. Such as what actually happens to your phone once you send it off. There are certain checks it will have to go through so that they can approve it is worth the amount estimated to you on their site when you got a price for it. If so you should normally receive your payment within the time allocation period for whatever payment method you chose. But your old mobile will either be refurbished and possibly resold on again or completely stripped of its parts and materials such as the precious metals inside like Gold and Silver and plastics that are all used again.

It is hoped by Environmental organizations and the government that these incentives will inspire more people to actually recycle their old mobile phones and electrical gadgets. Reducing landfill waste and damage to the Environment in years to come. Recycle Your Mobile for post office payments. See what methods are available. Make the right choice and get the most money for your mobile by using a price comparison tool first.

Having an interest in Environmental issues and work in the mobile phone recycling industry. Visit Sell Your Mobile to sell and recycle your old mobile phone for cash. See what you can recycle for cash. Reviews and cross comparisons of all the top mobile phone recycling sites and more to get the best deal and most money possible for your mobile.

Apple IPhone – How Soon Before Apple Releases The

Posted by valeri on Saturday Feb 6, 2010

This article has been bought to you by Frankie Johnson. He enjoys writing about the well guarded ways to insure your iPhone 3Gs insurance that the big companies dont want you to know about!

If you have been keeping up with the latest trends and developments in cellular technology, you’ve certainly heard of the new phone from Apple, the Apple iPhone. Although the cell phone market is new territory for Apple, they have released a very impressive product with the Apple iPhone carrying 8GB of memory.

The Apple iPhone has all of the features of the latest smartphones, including text messaging capabilities, an integrated digital camera, as well as the capability to surf the net and check your e-mail. But this isn’t the end of the list, the Apple iPhone features a lot more.

As well as the features listed at the top, the Apple iPhone 8GB offers the latest in cellular technology with an impressive touch screen interface. Using the interface will make you feel like you’ve got your hands on some gadget from outer-space; it’s truly an impressive and seamless way of operating your cell phone.

The basic technology developed for the Apple iPhone originates from the popular Apple iPod. You can not only make calls on your Apple iPhone, but you can also enjoy digital music and play your favorite songs on the sleek cell phone.

If you’re familiar with the Apple video iPod, then you will be suprised to know that the Apple iPhone 8GB also plays a wide variety of videos. You can easily capture high quality video with your Apple iPod and store it directly to the whopping 8GB of memory available to you.

Apple has cleverly decided to take a different direction with their new device by deciding to include the OS X operating for the Apple iPhone. This is arguably the most technologically advanced operating systems ever developed for a cell phone. OS X offers not only high functionality, but also stability and security as well. You will find that the OS X not only improves your overall productivity, but is also easy and fun to use as well.

After dealing with the wide variety of cell phones available on the market today, you will find that there are two common problems found among them. Firstly, there isn’t a lot of space available for the screen, and reading the display on many cell phones can be difficult at best, especially with a huge keyboard that takes up half the space on the cell phone. Apple has evaded and solved this problem by completely eliminating the conventional keypad. The keyboard is seamlessly integrated with the touch screen interface, thus saving your phone space and creating more room for the beautiful display.

When you turn the Apple iPhone sideways, the aspect ratio is 16:9 – exactly the same ratio as many TV shows and movies being made today. What’s neat about the iPhone´s display is that when you turn it sideways, sensors in the phone will automatically adjust the screen so you can read the display from the side. With its embedded feature, you can enjoy wide-screen movies on your small yet big iPhone.

As you can see the Apple iPhone 8GB is the most advanced in cell phone technology. If you love gadgets, you won’t be disappointed with the Apple iPhone 8GB.

The product review is brought to your by Netfreez [http://www.netfreez.com] – To read more about the Apple iPhone [http://www.netfreez.com/products/Apple_iPhone_8GB-3762-0.html] and its great features visit us online.

How The IPhone Saved Apple

Posted by valeri on Saturday Feb 6, 2010

This article has been bought to you by Frankie Johnson. He enjoys writing about the well guarded ways to insure your iPhone 3Gs insurance that the big companies dont want you to know about!

Apple has managed to make up lost ground to Microsoft since the release of personal computers (PC) back in the mid 80s. In the early 80s, one of Apple’s geeks decided to leave the company and started his own. The geek that left was Bill Gates. Bill Gates believed in open technology, allowing his computer systems to be compatible with programs developed by third party vendors. That gave way to the technology revolution that has shaken up the world since the beginning of the 90s when the Internet was first released for public consumption. As PCs users rose by the millions, Apple just watched from the corners unable to stop the rise of a giant by the name of Microsoft.

It’s now 2009 and although Microsoft still dominates the personal computer markets, Apple has managed to become relevant again.

Apple is now the synonymous of stylish, reliability and coolness.

Apple’s Comeback

Millions of consumers world wide now own an apple product and is not a personal computer. For Apple it was obvious that trying to compete with mighty Microsoft for personal computer supremacy was not working. And in 2001, Apple’s strategy was re-designed to come up with a new product where the market was not well defined. Portable music player was the bet and in 2001 the first iPod was born.

The birth of the iPod

At a mere 5GB hard-drive based, Apple unveils the first iPod that sold for $399.00

The market strategy changed from marketing personal computers to how cool it is to have your “Whole CD Library with you all the time” Steve Jobs (Apple’s CEO) tells reporters in a press conference in 2001. As the iPod hits the stores in November 2001, Apple sells 125,000 iPods during the holiday season. And although Apple was first seen as a potential threat to digital multimedia products such as music, for it’s “Rip, Mix, Burn” slogan, Steve Jobs assured the music giants that the iPod will not violate any laws because it was developed to “legally acquire music” and he added, “you have the right to manage it in all other devices you own”

During the Mac Expoworld Expo, Jobs notes that Apple has sold more than 600,000 iPods in the 14 months since it’s launch. By April 2003, Apple added a solid-state scroll wheel with four buttons to the device. By January 2004 Apple increased the number of iPods available to the public by unveiling a whole new line of “mini” iPods. The new iPods where the size of business cards with a storage capacity of 4GB which sold for $299 and included multiple colors such as gold, blue, pink, and green.

By late 2005, iPods were the most popular product of the Apple’s line. And all of this was happening when the hard drive was still in place (this means the device had a slower response) In August 2006, Creative and Apple square off in court. Creative and Apple trade lawsuits in court alleging that both have violated patents, Apple and Creative settle their disputes when Apple agrees to pay a $100 million settlement. Creative agrees to begin making Apple iPods accessories.

Microsoft Strikes Back at Apple with the Zune

Ironically, it was Microsoft’s turns to sit in the corner and watch how Apple’s popularity grew faster than anyone predicted. In November 14, 2006, Microsoft released it’s own MP3 player; The Zune. The awaited MP3 war between Microsoft and Apple had begun. Microsoft’s new MP3 player named Zune was sporting an attractive 30gigabyte storage capability, FM radio and a 3 inch screen and it’s controls consisted of a circular shape under the 3 inch screen with four buttons (very similar to the iPod). The price tag was $249.95 at release date and hundreds of thousands of Microsoft loving fans thought that Microsoft had an answer to the dominating iPod. It was not long since the Zune’s release date that consumers began to realize that the Zune was no match to the powerful iPod-iPhone combo. One year after it’s release, Zune began experimenting technical problems that doomed it’s sales. News of software issues flowed through the Internet like water in a river. Sales began to decrease and iPod nevertheless stayed strong.

Apple and Cellular Technology – A Rocky Road

Apple’s ever-changing creative team joined forces with Motorola in December 16th 2004 and jointly came up with a new device that allowed consumers to make phone calls and play music at the same time. This was the beginning of an evolutionary idea, the all-in-one idea.

In late September 2005, Apple and Motorola release a cell phone by the name of ROKR. Steve Jobs called this device an iPod Shuffle in your phone. In a bold statement in October 2005, Apple announces that there are more phones yet to roll out of production. Although iPod was enjoying a huge success by this time, Apple ambitious projects focus on something far larger than audio on the go. It was clear that Apple already had the iPhone idea by then since in September 16 2006, Apple files for iPhone trademarks in New Zealand. And although everything seemed go smoothly for Apple, in September 2005, Ocean Telecom Services files for iPhone trademark in the United States. Another battle was waged between Apple and Ocean Telecom but this time Apple emerged victorious and the patent was granted to Apple iPhone. Then in December 2006 Linksys which is a company owned by Cisco launched a VoIP phone named Iphone. Cisco however, owned the Iphone name since 2000.

Finally, in January 09 2007, Steve Jobs announced at Macworld that Apple will release the iPhone and he also provided a bit of it’s capabilities. But right before the launch of the iPhone, Cisco suits Apple for the iPhone name and both corporations agree to share the iPhone name.

In turmoil May 16 2007 right before the iPhone release, a rumor makes the news that Apple will delay the release of the highly anticipated iPhone. These rumors make Apple stocks stumble and the company loses almost 4 billions in one day.

iPhone Release Day

On a bright June 29 2007, the Apple iPhone debuts as a stand-alone cell phone and built-in iPod. The brand new gadget contained very cool features such as motion sensors that allow you to place the iPhone sideways and automatically moves the screen to the correct resolution, GPS, accurate virtual keyboard and a signature clown fish as wallpaper. Steve Jobs describe his brand new toy as “An entire computer that just happens to make phone calls”.

The only draw-back was Apple iPhone commitment to AT&T. At the time of release, Apple iPhone could only be used on the AT&T network limiting a huge number of Apple-loving-fans enrolled in other phone networks. And although this commitment from Apple is still in place there are some services that allow consumers to run an iPhone in other networks such as T-Mobile.

Since 2007, Apple has retired it’s 2GB version of the iPhone and has upgraded it’s original phone to a more robust stronger device. The current device is now able to stream, download, and create high quality video on the fly and it runs on a powerful 3G network that allows for fast Internet connectivity.

Where is Apple going with this?

As we can imagine, Apple is not done just yet. Currently the iPhone-iPodTouch are unquestionable leaders in the MP3 player’s market and may very well (When Apple terminates it’s current AT&T commitment) become the king of mobile technology as well.

Even though Apple has been closed to the idea of allowing third party applications running on its proprietary hardware, those closed minded ideas are beginning to crack. In early 2008, Apple announced that it would allow third party vendors to develop applications for its iPhone/iPod touch.

This move by Apple is creating great success in the Mobile gaming business which is another feature that is well exploited in the iPhone/iPod. iTunes (Apple’s Multimedia Store) is loaded with hundreds of thousands of applications for the iPod and iPhone for a minimal fee.

Apple has managed to create a device that appeals to everyone. The newest iPhone currently runs on a 3G wireless network and contains a large 32 gigabyte storage capacity.

Apple challenges consumers to answer the following question; where can you find a mini Mac computer that you can fit in your hand and is able to; make phone calls, browse the Internet, carry a whole music catalog, and allows you to play games? The simple answer to Apple’s question is the iPhone.

Stay up to date with the newest features discovered for your iPhone or iPod touch.

The Apple IPhone – Super Phone Or Super Hype?

Posted by valeri on Saturday Feb 6, 2010

This article has been bought to you by Frankie Johnson. He enjoys writing about the well guarded ways to insure your iPhone 3Gs insurance that the big companies dont want you to know about!

The Apple iPhone, super phone or super hype? Is this cell phone really the complete package that Apple purports it to be or is it all hype? Let us take a look at the facts and fiction about the Apple iPhone to see how it really stacks up against the advertising.

Ease of use, this is what Apple shows in all of its advertising. On this point, they hit it dead on. The Apple iPhone is extremely easy to use. If you can tap something with your finger or slide your finger along a screen you can use the iPhone without difficulty. For ease of use, the iPhone is a super phone.

Music listening and storage. As far as sound quality goes, the iPhone is great. A set of good quality stereo earbuds are required to enjoy the iPhone’s sound quality. To complete the upscale look of the iPhone, perhaps a set of Bluetooth stereo earphones are in orders. In the category of sound quality and music playback capability, the iPhone is a super phone.

Storage is another feature that Apple hypes the iPhone. With 6 GB, 8 GB, and now 16 GB, this seems like a tremendous amount of storage. Here is where the downfall is, you cannot upgrade the memory or use external memory such as memory cards or sticks. Therefore you are limited by the amount of content you can have on your iPhone. You cannot take content with you. A work around could be to store content on an internet site and swap it out when you want it. Any teenager I know can blow through even 16 GB of music in an amazingly short amount of time. If you add in videos and TV shows, 16 GB becomes filled rather quickly. In the storage department, the Apple iPhone becomes hype instead of a super phone.

What about battery life. Here is where there is no hype at all: actually Apple has very little to say about the iPhone’s battery. Here is why. You cannot change it. Most cell phones have a removable battery. This way if it dies, you change it out with a new one. The iPhone lacks this capability. Once that battery dies and will no longer hold a charge, you need a new phone. The reason Apple is so quite about the battery is probably due to the current litigation surrounding this. Is this hype or super phone? Neither one. The battery issue definitely does not qualify it as a super phone. Apple has said very little so there really is no hype involved. Perhaps we should just categorize this as buyer beware.

What about that touch screen? This is where you see the Apple iPhone hyped to the max. Is this super phone or hype? The touch screen is super sensitive. If your phone hits up against something in your pocketbook, or knocks into something while you are getting in and out of your car, you can end up calling people or having your iPhone do something weird. The touch screen does allow you to easily manipulate the iPhone. Overall, the touch screen ranks it as super phone not hype. Just be careful with it.

Next there is internet access. All of the commercials for the Apple iPhone show it as a super phone when it comes to internet access. You can use any WiFi to contact friends on Facebook or watch content on YouTube. Well, the browser needs better search capabilities. This is one area where the iPhone is lacking. Another is that the iPhone’s browser does not store password. This was most likely a security feature that Apple built in. Personally, you are better off it does not store your passwords. In general WiFi networks are not secure, and you do not want your banking access information readily available to the public. Is this super phone or hyper. I will give them super phone on this one although it is not any different than any other smart phone out there.

The Apple iPhone, super phone or hype? It is looking like it comes out as a super phone. Especially if you want the music and internet capabilities.

So You Got An Iphone 3G…

Posted by valeri on Saturday Jan 23, 2010

This article is bought to you by Frankie Johnson. He also like to write about iPhone insurance in the UK

So you finally waited until your previous cell phone contract is over… so you finally decided to bit the bullet and take a leap… so you finally got an iPhone… now what? The beauty of iPhone is not just what you get out of the box, but the unlocked potential that it hosts. Here are few categories accessory to consider:

iPhone 3G Screen Protector or Stylus Pen – One of the features that makes iPhone standout among all the competitors is its unique touch screen interface. Since the touch screen is the only user interface, in the perfect world, one will wish for a strongly scratch-resistant screen. Unfortunately, after little usage, one will easily notice the smudges and oil residues from user’s finger and face. Since the screen is the first (and often times, the only) thing the user focuses on, a screen protector is also a logical choice. Keep the iPhone’s screen clean and shiny with an overlay screen protector.

Another popular alternative preferred is to use a stylus pen, instead. Most ex-PDA users are more accustom to using a pointing device for typing and menu navigation. Both screen protector and a stylus are great ways to reduce wear on the touch screen.

iPhone 3G Case – The iPhone is priced as an high-end mobile device, so it would be wise to invest in a protective case. Proper casing will help reducing the risk of scratching and hardware damage during daily usage. It is also a great way to express your individuality.

More Cases:

* iPhone 3G Crystal and Aluminum Cases
* iPhone 3G Leather Cases
* iPhone 3G Premium Skin Cases
* iPhone 3G Graphic Cases
* iPhone 3G Socks and Pouches

iPhone 3G Car Charger – Although the iPhone 3G comes with a Sync data cable and an USB wall charger adapter for recharging the battery, it would probably be a good idea to have a car charger on the vehicle. iPhone’s attractive 3G and GPS network capability will quickly drain the battery power within hours. In most cases, it would be useful to have a car charger handy while on the road or traveling.

Another handy accessory to have on the road is a car mount. Whether you use the iPhone as a MP3 player while driving or taking advantage of its GPS feature, a car kit can keep your iPhone secured and easy to access.

iPhone 3G Headsets/Headphones – While on the topic of driving, the new state law (California and Washington) requires motorist to use a hands-free device when using a cell phone while driving. A Bluetooth headset would be a great addition for those that like to talk during the traffic jam.

Audio enthusiast that uses iPhone as a MP3 player probably will not be satisfied with the default headset that came with the device. The standard 3.5-mm stereo headphone minijack makes it easy for users to find the headphone of their choice.

iPhone 3G External Battery – With all the exciting features the iPhone offers (audio playback, video playback, internet…) it is easy to get carried away and drain the battery faster than expected. If that is you, invest in an external battery and never revisit that scenario.

Thanks to the popularity of iPhone, there are tons of other add-on’s to consider (such as speakers, docks, cables, extended warranty, Apple’s Mobile me service…). Of course, the AppStore and iTune also offers limitless potentials to the application of the handset.
